Search Committee Information and Registration: Agreement

All participating search committee members are required to review, understand and commit to meeting specific expectations through an Agreement.

This Agreement is designed to create an experience for both you and the ministers and candidates which is informative, fair and safe.

If you have any questions about this Agreement, please contact your presbytery representative before completing the registration process for your committee.


AGREEMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

When you register your Search Committee for the Face-to-Face Event, you attest to having all committee members read all of the expectations in this Agreement and agree to abide by them.

Your committee agrees to:

  • File your CIF by April 8, 2002.

  • Register for this Face-to-Face event using the proper search committee registration form

  • Observe all deadlines.

  • Pay the appropriate fees on time.

  • Make your own arrangements for lodging and meals while attending the Face-to-Face event. Participants are responsible for the cost of the rooms, meals and travel.

  • Agree not to contact any registered minister or candidate prior to the event.

  • Follow the FTF Event interview schedule arranged for you by the Management Team.

    Your Management Team will work diligently to honor as many requests made by you as is feasible.

  • Attend an orientation conducted by your presbytery or Union-PSCE before arrival at the event.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality. It is critically important that the identities of ministers and candidates attending Face-to-Face be kept confidential.

    At no time are you to mention names or circumstances of the participants to anyone.

  • Attend the full Face-to-Face event and not depart early.
