General Information About Face-to-Face: Process

What Is The Face-To-Face Process?

The following listing of steps will guide you through the FTF process. We suggest that you read through this entire list and then go to Information and Registration
  • Step Two: Print the registration form you will find in your registration area.

    Complete the form and mail it to the address indicated on the form.

    Upon receipt of your Registration form, you will be sent a packet that will include the Interview Request Form.
  • Step Three: Following registration, a required orientation will be provided by your presbytery or seminary. During that time, you will will be notified of where to file the Personal Information Forms (PIFs) or Church Information Forms (CIFs).
  • Step Four: Review the information forms.

    Ministers and candidates review the CIF's of churches.

    Search Committees review the PIF's of ministers and candidates.
  • Step Five: You must make at least seven interview requests on the Interview Request Form after reviewing the Information Forms on site. There is no limit to the number of requests you can make.
  • Step Six: Send completed Interview Request Form to:

    If you are a minister or candidate, submit a list of churches from your review of CIF's with whom you would like to interview .

    If you are a church search committee, submit a list of ministers and/or candidates from your review of PIF's with whom you would like to interview.

    Your interview Request Form must be received by May 10, 2002.

    The Management Team will arrange for as many interviews from your selections as possible and you will receive notification of your interview schedule when you arrive on site.

    If you are from a non-sponsoring presbytery and will be interviewing by teleconference, the Management Team will notify you of your schedule prior to the event.
  • Step Seven: If necessary, make your travel plans to Richmond if you haven't done so. Accommodations near the Union-PSCE are on this site for your convenience under Host City
  • Step Eight: Relax. Pray for God's guidance in the interviewing process.
  • Step Nine: Participate in the Face-to-Face event with an open heart.

    All interviews must be in person unless you are a minister or candidate outside of the Mid-Atlantic area. All interviews will take place on the campus of Union-PSCE in Richmond, Virginia between 1 p.m. Friday, May 31 and noon Saturday, June 1.

    If you are a minister or candidate from outside of the sponsoring area and have registered as such, you may interview by telephone conference call. All non-sponsoring area interviews are still held during the scheduled time slots.
